No task on day 5 due to wind.
Yesterday we had a task from Tambo to Boonah, via Boonah T. It took a while to get away and the day was extremely low, only about 1200m. A few people left Tambo early, but most pilots took a later start time and made the jump to the leaders on the first glide, from there Shane, Che, Andrew and Felipe were out in front, the four of us working together over the Beaudesert flats, until Andrew and myself took a bad line heading in to the Boonah foothills. We both decked it, whilst the other two not far on either side climbed out and made the task. I hear the day got a lot easier past where we landed. The day was won by Stephen Haase from USA who took the last start time. Shane was first in goal, KK Dave did really well too followed by Wesley Manzke, dave 2nd wes 3rd into goal but their early start time cost them 10 spots in points noticed only on download.
Gareth Carter is in a top spot for.a podium finish hopefully!
One more task tomorrow fingers crossed we get it as its needed;) The conditions this week has really been hard more of a lotto.....
